If you’re reading this, hopefully you’ve signed up as a member of DrywallNation.com. A big thank you for helping to support our network!
For those who don’t know me, my name is Davide, CMO at Drywall Nation. It’s my passion just like drywall is yours. I have been in the construction industry since my elementary school days, working in the family business with my father and brother. I eventually ended up in marketing but never left the building sector, managing to tie both together. I assembled these pointers below based on my personal experience in knowing what works and what doesn’t when presenting yourself to prospective customers online.
We launched this website to bring greater exposure to our community outside of Instagram, to showcase the amazing work you do and how you do it. By signing up, you now have a professional business listing which essentially acts as a mini-website for your services. You’re able to add a description of what you offer, your social media profiles, photos, video, an FAQ section and a direct contact form and much more.
Like anything else, you’ll want to come across as clean and professional as can be, really show others that you’re reliable and worth dealing with. Having social media presence is definitely a must but it’s important to not confuse this with that. Our goal is to turn this into the largest drywall focused contractor directory and bring customers in your area to you. We’re putting much effort into marketing, especially search engine optimization to make that happen. We value your being a part of this and our commitment is reciprocal.
I hope these help and if you have a question, need advice or have suggestions, I’d love to hear from you.
ON TO THE LIST!
1. SHOW A CLEAN AND SAFE SITE
Give customers a glimpse of what they can expect when they hire you. It goes without saying, cleanliness and a safe work environment are important to project owners so make sure your photos show exactly that.
2. SHOW PROJECT ACTION SHOTS
Job related photos are key, clients aren’t interested in seeing where you buy your coffee from or memes. Save that for Instagram.
3. PRESENT CLEAN AND CRISP IMAGES
Photos that are well lit, clear and to the point work much better than ones that are pixelated or dark.
4. COMPLETE ALL AVAILABLE DETAILS
If you got it, flaunt. And if you don’t got it, get it. The information being made available is there for you to create maximum presence. Take your time and be thorough from start to finish. You’re paying to be here, make the most of it.
5. KEEP YOUR PROFILE UPDATED
Working on a new job? Just finished one? Let everyone know you’re busy and in demand. Sometimes less is more but not in this case so keep posting new photos.
These are the most important pointers that I can think of but as I mentioned earlier, I’m always available so don’t hesitate to get in touch anytime.
Davide
Guys – can’t say enough about this tool for our communities! Especially in these difficult times when few of us are working or are finishing up that last job and who knows when the next one comes.
Grazie molto!!
